Village Missions is committed to investing in the next generation of pastors for rural churches. We invite you to be part of that development.
People across the country are answering God’s call to ministry, but they need more than classroom training to be fully prepared. Whether a student is pursuing Bible College, growing through our On-Ramp Program, or being discipled through the Contenders Discipleship Initiative, we believe lasting ministry is shaped through hands-on, practical experience in real churches with real people.
Summer Ministry Internship
Bible college students receive hands-on ministry training from a VM pastor and the leadership of the church he serves. This is a valuable opportunity to experience small-town or rural ministry and learn from a dedicated missionary pastor.
The cost to VM for a single ministry intern is about $50 per day.
Pastoral Residency
Village Missions pairs a new missionary or missionary couple with veteran Village Missionaries, who give them opportunities for guided, hands-on ministry experience in the church and the community. Through the year-long residency, new missionaries develop skills for preaching, teaching, visitation, conducting funerals and weddings, board leadership, and many other aspects of ministry. They experience different seasons of the church calendar and of ministry, too.
The cost to VM for a couple is about $110 a day, and for a family of four, $150 a day.
