Chesaw Community Bible Church
Some positives about the community is that for the families that have lived and grown up here, some of them for generations, there is still a small town mindset of neighbor helping neighbor. Others who have moved here have fit in with a community mindset. All of this can be a great blessing to those who live here. However, there is sadly lacking an eternal perspective and the hope that Jesus Christ can offer. Which means many in the community continue to live with their greatest need unmet.
There are others who have moved to the area either on the run from society (including law enforcement) or simply because they have no desire to be involved with others, aside from the welfare check that they receive. This has created a whole new dynamic to the community and has presented new challenges. Of course, this also provides new opportunities for the gospel message as well.
Our desire is to see the believers that comprise the church in Chesaw to rise up to meet the challenges and make the most of these opportunities. Several people within the church have expressed an interest and a desire to do just that. To see their progress spiritually has been a great joy for us, and we look forward to seeing what God is going to do in other people's lives as well.
