Darrell and Robin Weiland
While serving as missionaries with AWANA Clubs in western Washington, Darrell and Robin saw the impact of Village Missions churches in rural communities. They were privileged to get to know VM pastors (and future District Representatives) Vern Wilkinson and Gil Doebler.
Darrell was encouraged to consider serving as a Village Missionary. After attending Contender's Bible School, Darrell and Robin were accepted by Village Missions and then, in 2014, were assigned to Bridge Community Church in Myrtle Point, Oregon. God used their past experiences in preaching, teaching, evangelism and children's ministry to reach families in this community for Christ.
The Weilands retired in July 2024.

Village Missions exists to glorify Jesus Christ by developing spiritually vital country churches in rural North America. We fulfill this aim by placing pastors in small town and rural churches that might otherwise have to close, and in doing so, preserve the Gospel presence in over 210 communities across the United States and Canada.
