Steve and Elaine Powers

Send a Note Start a Campaign Add to Prayer
Steve and Elaine both grew up in Oregon and came to know the Lord through the ministry of Village Missions pastors in their home churches of Beaver Community Church and Sunnyside Community Church. Feeling the call to full-time vocational ministry, they followed the Lord's leading into the ministry of Village Missions.

Steve and Elaine received training for the ministry in the Village Missions intern program known as ACT (Apprenticeship Church Training) under the mentorship of Mark and Bonnie Canady at Beaver, Oregon.

In 1994 they moved to their first field in Four Lakes, Washington. Through the ministry of the Four Lakes Community Church they had many opportunities to share the gospel and make disciples. After 21 years at Four Lakes, they made a ministry move in December 2015 to Dalkena Community Church in Newport, Washington, where they ministered to a diverse congregation.

Steve and Elaine retired from VM in 2025.
Village Missions exists to glorify Jesus Christ by developing spiritually vital country churches in rural North America. We fulfill this aim by placing pastors in small town and rural churches that might otherwise have to close, and in doing so, preserve the Gospel presence in over 210 communities across the United States and Canada.
