David and Sheila McIlroy
After serving at a boys ranch for nearly twenty years, Dave and Sheila looked for a new ministry. They were encouraged by Craig and Lani Norwood to consider Village Missions. They joined the mission in June 2001 and began serving in Starbuck, WA.
Dave and Sheila believe God used their experiences at the boys ranch to prepare them to serve with Village Missions. They both enjoy small-town life. They spent time building relationships with the people in the area by helping folks get wood for their stoves, driving bus, taking kids fishing, helping with chores, and anything else thatwas needed.
In addition, they were involved in various Bible studies, youth activities, and other church activities. Dave is always willing to lend a helping hand and was frequently asked to do so.
Dave and Sheila retired in 2024.

Village Missions exists to glorify Jesus Christ by developing spiritually vital country churches in rural North America. We fulfill this aim by placing pastors in small town and rural churches that might otherwise have to close, and in doing so, preserve the Gospel presence in over 210 communities across the United States and Canada.
