Neil and Wanda Fisher
We were married in 1952 and assumed that farming in Kansas would be our life's work. Neil had taken over the farm when his dad retired. His bride was a "town girl," but she enjoyed adjusting to farm life. In 1954, we vacationed at a Bible conference, and God did the unthinkable and moved our hearts to go to college to prepare for whatever field of ministry He willed.
Before graduation from college, we knew that Village Missions was the place for us. Our first field was in Southern Oregon; we soon experienced the joy of sharing God's Word and loving the people of our community. Our second field was in Northern Oregon, and our third field was in the Tacoma, Washington area. It was our privilege to be Village Missionaries for 36 years.
Now we are retired, but it is our blessing to be active in a church served by a Village Missionary pastor. Our experience from Kansas fields to Village Mission fields has been a journey of joy. God is good!

Village Missions exists to glorify Jesus Christ by developing spiritually vital country churches in rural North America. We fulfill this aim by placing pastors in small town and rural churches that might otherwise have to close, and in doing so, preserve the Gospel presence in over 210 communities across the United States and Canada.
