Fern and I were drawn to Village Missions by their twin pillars of ministry: Preach the Word and love the people, and second, Earn the right to be heard. The concept of working alongside the people to earn the right to preach resonated with us.
This philosophy of ministry reflected the hearts of the rural people we had grown up with and were working for on their ranches. With a desire to serve the rural people we love and a ministry that seemed to understand, we joined Village Missions in 2001.
We served in Ridgway, MT for 13 years. Now we've been serving in Springview, NE, since 2014. We continue to believe that the right to preach on Sunday is earned as we love and serve the people Monday through Saturday.

Village Missions exists to glorify Jesus Christ by developing spiritually vital country churches in rural North America. We fulfill this aim by placing pastors in small town and rural churches that might otherwise have to close, and in doing so, preserve the Gospel presence in over 210 communities across the United States and Canada.
