We are career-change missionaries. I spent 20 years in manufacturing, 26 years as a military reservist, and 12 years as a business professor at a state university. My wife was a university administrator and teacher. Since my undergraduate days, I have always served Jesus as a member of a church body and usually had the role of teacher. I came to realize that this was the gift that God had given me as a part of the Body of Christ.

When God made his call to ministry as clear as it could be, we immediately went about applying for and being accepted by Village Missions. We were placed in this small and very rural community to bring the light of the Gospel, to shepherd the church, and to provide some help to a struggling town. So many come here to hide or just be autonomous. I serve roles in the community such as emergency management coordinator, American Red Cross representative, and volunteer for community events. My wife chairs the community club and attends most of the other community clubs and councils that affect the school and the town.

We are building relationships and earning trust in the hope that opportunity may arise for sharing the Gospel.

Village Missions exists to glorify Jesus Christ by developing spiritually vital country churches in rural North America. We fulfill this aim by placing pastors in small town and rural churches that might otherwise have to close, and in doing so, preserve the Gospel presence in over 210 communities across the United States and Canada.
