Debbie Schendel
Debbie Schendel grew up in a semi-rural area of Illinois surrounded by farming communities. She moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1990. She worked at Cannon Beach Conference Center as the retreat coordinator for 4 years. That’s where she first learned about Village Missions. She later worked as an accountant for a newspaper publishing company.
Debbie and her husband, Steve, love exploring Oregon, often driving down dirt roads to see what they find or spending time at the coast. In 2022, she joined the Village Missions family. She enjoys meeting the missionaries, hearing their stories, and helping them so that they can thrive on their fields. “I started at a ministry founded by the Duff family at Cannon Beach, and now I’ve come full circle to another ministry founded by their family. It’s not an accident!”
