Randy and Lisa Picklesimer
“It all began with our desire to know how to study the Bible…”
Randy and Lisa Picklesimer pursued Contenders Bible Classes (now CDI) at Machias, Washington, and were content teaching adult Sunday school classes and ministering on the worship team while Randy ran his construction crew and Lisa enjoyed working at the school, but God was grooming them for a bigger purpose…
Both Randy and Lisa grew up in Christian households and were taught about God’s loving gift. Randy put his trust in Christ at an early age during Sunday school at a Village Missions church. Lisa accepted His salvation in VBS, but really felt the burning desire to hold onto Him no matter the cost at 12 years old.
Meeting at a small Christian school Randy’s junior year, they became high-school sweethearts and were married a few years later.
In 2001 they joined Village Missions and were placed in the beautiful community of Mazama, where they remained for 18 years. Randy has a true shepherd’s heart. He desires to feed God’s sheep and reach the community members who wouldn’t step foot in the church. Being on the fire department, he pursued and attained a chaplaincy certificate. He has had many classes in biblical counseling. Mazama became a sending church when Randy & Lisa were asked to consider becoming District Representatives (DRs).
They have two daughters and a son. Their son and daughter-in-law, Nick & Sarah, became Village Missionaries and are ministering in Coram, Montana. Randy & Lisa are proud grandparents of 11 and are delighted watching their children groom these young ones to love the Lord and walk in His ways.
Randy & Lisa humbly answered the call to serve the Heartland District as DRs with the knowledge that it takes the Holy Spirit’s leading and teamwork to further a ministry. They enjoy encouraging the missionaries on their fields and recruiting others to become Village Missionaries, but they need back-up. Will you prayerfully consider being part of the team through prayer and financial support? Thank you!
