Alan and Bonnie Klein- 2663
While at Bible college, Alan and Bonnie met and married. They were also introduced to Village Missions. Bonnie had long had a desire for missions, assuming somewhere other than Canada. Alan sensed a calling to ministry before entering Bible college, but it was during his studies that the calling to Canada became more and more clear. From the very first time Alan heard of Village Missions, he felt a "kindred spirit" with the philosophy of ministry. He also knew of a few missionaries who were serving with the Mission.
After Bible college, the Klein's moved from Ontario to British Columbia for their first field placement in Horsefly, BC, in 1993. Having served there 11 years, they moved closer to home to take a church in Ontario. After two years, the call away from home came again, and they moved to Nova Scotia with their three children who are all now living on their own. They have been serving at the same church in Sutherlands River since 2006.

Village Missions exists to glorify Jesus Christ by developing spiritually vital country churches in rural North America. We fulfill this aim by placing pastors in small town and rural churches that might otherwise have to close, and in doing so, preserve the Gospel presence in over 210 communities across the United States and Canada.
