Christopher and Tammy Immer
After serving as youth pastor for 17 years at churches affiliated with Village Missions, Chris and Tammy were sent by their pastor to be full-time Village Missionaries.
Since 2007 they have served Island Chapel on Lummi Island in the San Juan Islands. The island life provides abundant opportunities to serve alongside the saints who have a burden for the islanders.
Island life is a little different with a higher cost of living such as our twenty-car ferry. It is also different as many have moved to the island to get away from mainland life and to be free from those things that would encumber doing whatever it is they want to do! People's need for Jesus is evident to the Immers everyday as Chris works as a Firefighter/EMT and Tammy is the Head of Beach School Elementary.
