Ray and Carla Berry
Ray and Carla Berry joined Village Missions 28 years ago to serve as missionary/pastor in rural North America. Raised in rural South Dakota, Ray saw first hand the need for missionary/pastors to serve in rural areas and churches. Carla is from a town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She had a heart for missions as well as a degree in Biblical counseling. They have served in 5 communities since 1990.
The Berrys currently serve in Arcadia, Nebraska. Arcadia is a bustling little community of 320 souls with a pre-K thru 12th grade school, bank, building supply store, grocery story, and several agricultural related business. Arcadia area has an assumed spirituality, but this is seldom practiced except by a few. Farming, ranching, sports, and family activities all come before church or even Jesus Christ.
