Susan Basaraba
Susan spent most of her growing up years in rural Marion County. She attended a small, 2 room school through the eighth grade, and then she graduated from a small-town high school in that farming community.
Susan first heard of Village Missions while attending a local church. She was able to get to know many active and retired missionaries. Susan’s heart was touched as they would report on Village Missions and share stories from their fields – knowing that these small communities were not forgotten.
Susan says, “It is so neat how God has opened the door and allowed me to work here at Village Missions. Someone said to me, ‘If anyone needs the Lord, it’s America,’ and I am so thankful to have a part in this ministry.”

Village Missions exists to glorify Jesus Christ by developing spiritually vital country churches in rural North America. We fulfill this aim by placing pastors in small town and rural churches that might otherwise have to close, and in doing so, preserve the Gospel presence in over 220 communities across the United States and Canada.
