Del and Colleen Abbey

Del came to the Lord through the ministry of Colleen's Village Missionary parents, so after Bible college, Village Missions seemed a perfect fit for the Abbeys. They served for 2.5 years in a small church in Oregon. In 1980 they took a leave of absence and Del went to work in the woods as a timber cutter. After a season (17 years) working in the woods and in forestry-related industry, Del nearly lost an eye in a logging accident. He and Colleen then returned to VM in 1997.

After serving with Village Missions in Philipsburg, Montana, for 15 years, they moved back to their home churches of Charlos Heights, Montana and Sula, Montana, in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley. Although serving two churches makes for a fairly full schedule, they are seeking to branch out to a third field about 60 miles away across the continental divide.

We invite you to partner with Del and Colleen and Village Missions to produce spiritually vital rural churches through your encouragement, prayer, and financial partnership.
Del and Colleen Abbey
Village Missions exists to glorify Jesus Christ by developing spiritually vital country churches in rural North America. We fulfill this aim by placing pastors in small town and rural churches that might otherwise have to close, and in doing so, preserve the Gospel presence in over 220 communities across the United States and Canada.
